Miss London & Miss Hippodrome 2015

On Friday night I attended the Miss London and Miss Hippodrome 2015 final at the Hippodrome Casino in Leicester Square.

As the capital’s entry into Miss England, this heat always produces high calibre winners, and I have no doubt this year’s cast of contestants will go on to make the organiser Fay very proud. And also, how gorgeous and nice is Fay!?! Seriously that woman is amazing and I believe after hearing her speak on stage, and from conversations with the contestants, the reason the girls place so highly and go onto big things is because of Fay.

The venue itself was spectacular and the Hippodrome loves to put on a proper show. The Hippodrome Honey’s sure live up to their name and their costumes were so theatrical. Plus the cocktails are delicious!

But back to the competition….

As I said, the winners are typically extremely talented and beautiful young women – look at Nena France and Tammy Dexter who are both top models. Then you have Charlotte Holmes and Rissikat Bade who both competed in Britain’s Next Top Model and of course I’m A Celeb star Amy Willerton. So no pressure 2015 girls! ;)

I was primarily there to support Charlotte White and Zara Holland and I was hoping they would each take a title, because I am biased as I love them and as my fellow 2014 Miss England contestants, I wanted them back for this year. However, it was not meant to be. Zara’s on stage answer about Prince Harry cracked the whole audience up and showed her great personality – probably the most memorable answer of the night! Charlotte’s walk and introduction were powerful yet endearing, and both girls showed qualities which I believe a Miss England should have, so I hope they keep going and come back.

I think it is so important that we contestants support one another and help each other on this journey. I know only one of us can win the national title, but it is a team that performs together on the night and it is a team that will get us there!

Both winners, Elizabeth and Isabelle are worthy winners and I can’t wait to meet them properly.
It was also lovely to catch up with reigning Miss England, Carina Tyrrell who I hadn’t got to say well done to for Miss World yet until Friday. Carina finally revealed the dates and location of the 2015 national final, which is taking place 13-14th August 2015 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

Now I’ve got the final in my sights, it’s really made it all real now and I’ve got plenty planned to prep myself till then.

Thank you to Fay, the Hippodrome and all the contestants who made the night and well done.
